hi,
i've found you via google, i'm trying to get only the Lun ID's of the luns mapped to the esx host

which is eq: LUN Name: vmhba3:C:T0:L1
and then i want to strip out the last number ("1" at the end) which is the actual lun id given by the storage device

is this so hard to do? i've been trying for 2 days that took me nowhere near:(

I have not, but I'm sure it could be done fairly easily. You'd need to input the MAC address as well (or SMBIOS GUID), though, or else SCCM won't have record of the server.

Hello - Has anyone use this script and modify for physical server box instead of VM? I would like to collect inputs (domain name (we have multiple domains), computer name, and OS) and build the OS based on these information.

Thank you.

I just wanted to add that once VUM was registered in vCenter, I used the vSphere Client to change from IP to Hostname in Network Connectivity section of VUM.

Thanks for posting this- much appreciated. We're currently trying to redo the way we deploy VMs and this will be very helpful. Thumbs up!
